I’ve only seen it in person a few times. It won some awards this year from the American Peony Society, mostly for the novel color variegation in the flowers I suspect. I believe we’ll be seeing more of these sorts of color variations in the herbaceous hybrids as time goes on and new varieties come on the market. Lois’ Choice has much the same parentage as Sunny Boy and Girl, and involves the Quads and Silver Dawn in their breeding, and I suspect that that’s where some of this sort of variation (along with the creamy nature of the yellow) is coming from.

A nice plant, very healthy and pretty flowers. Very easy to propagate and you get many divisions fast. It’s a short plant. The stems might be somewhat sturdier and the buds are ‘open’ before flowering, somewhat different. It’s one of the first early doubles that are more readily available.
