Seedling # 3213. Parentage unknown, but of multi-species ancestry. First propagated 2002. Large, 6-8 inch flowers are SINGLE, displayed several inches above the bush, one flower per stem. Two rows of large, cupped petals of good substance are of a cool pink color (RHS 70D), flared darker inward (RHS 70A-73C), the whole centered by a thick cluster of yellow stamens and red-tipped green carpels, generally 3 in number. Petals are rounded, occasionally slightly notched, with flares (½ x 1½ inches) having a bleeding edge, the color extended by the veins. Fertile pollen and makes seeds, expected to be tetraploid. Well developed, pale, red-purple staminodal disc. Erect stems, 36-40 inches tall are well clothed in large, dark green leaflets, making a large bush, prolific of increase and vigorous in growth habit, and free standing. Blooms early season. Name is suggested by a feeling of movement as flowers are waved irregularly when opened at wind-touched sites.
