Seedling No: 12. First bloomed 1992, first propagated 2009. Early bloom season. SEMI-DOUBLE flower, 7 inches (18 cm) in size, one per stem. Lilac pink petals, with dark aubergine flares (RHS:79A) extending about 30% of petal’s length. Edges of the flares bleed into the pale background with the petal edges again becoming more intensely pigmented in lilac-pink giving a picoteed effect. Petals are large, generally rounded, delicately notched, and somewhat frilled along the edges. The partially developed lilac colored sheath surrounds 6-8 sparsely hairy, bright gray-green carpels. Soft lilac stigmas are fertile. Pollen bearing stamens, filaments white with a lilac streak up the center. Some fragrance. Typical green foliage. Upright spreading growth to 59 inches (150 cm).
