THE PEONY FIELDS WILL BE OPEN FROM MAY 15TH TO MAY 31ST.
Styer’s Peonies is thrilled to announce that last season’s festival generated rave reviews, and this gives us great confidence as we prepare for the “2021 Festival of the Peonies” at our Chadd’s Ford nursery.
There are well over 100 varieties of herbacious peonies planted on over 25 acres of magnificently beautiful rolling hills. These 55,000+ plants average 10 stems per plant thus yielding over 500,000 blooms.
In 2020, because of Covid, we had to enforce a rule whereby everyone had to stay in their vehicle. This compromise gave visitors the chance to drive through the fields, getting a taste for the beauty and diversity of our peony crop. However, this restricted access limited their experience, and so we hope to be able to allow for those who would like to walk, sniff, and take photographs.
Our plans for 2021 are being made around the assumption that many people will have been vaccinated and that walking will be safe and allowed. We are therefore offering both drive-through and walking options. The best way for us to accomplish this is by allocating time slots.
Walking in the fields, will be from 9.00am to 10.45am each day. $20.00 per person.
Drive-through only, will be from 11.00am until 6pm each day. $25.00 per car
There will be staff on hand to answer all your questions. Thank you for your support in 2020, which proved so critical to providing the jobs and income that were essential to making it through to another year. We look forward to seeing you in the fields (I can’t wait)!
