(Primevere x officinalis) First shown at Peony Show in Boston 1928 and at the American Peony Society Show in Washington in 1929 where it received the Garden Achievement Medal and the Silver Medal. It is tall, single, dark crimson with bright yellow anthers. Flowers a little purplish when faded. Robust, thick stems, heavy foliage. (Buccaneer, Defender and Liberator are close to this.)
