Seedling A2-C. Parentage: ‘Northrepps’ x ‘Strykylthorne.’ SEMI-DOUBLE to FULL DOUBLE flower form. Midseason flowering. Predominantly full double, large (17 cm, 7 inches), faintly scented flowers with a profusion of tightly packed yellow petals and petalodes of various sizes and shapes, some folded or bent in the crammed flower-center. The rounded, smooth-edged yellow guard petals measure 7 cm (2½ inches) across. Some flowers may have linear, 4 cm (1½ inch) yellow staminodes edged gold. Insignificant fragrance. Medium high (80 cm, 32 inches) stems that need support have pointed, somewhat slender leaflets and one flower. The large, unequivocally and uniformly yellow, petal-packed double flowers establish a sense of compact solidity that comes across as the self-assurance of formal harmony.
