Midseason to Late Midseason flowering. ITOH GROUP peony. Seedling field name, Rose Itoh. Parentage not recorded. First bloomed before 1990. First propagated 1990. Extra petals SINGLE, notched end petals yellow-beige, with purplish rose blend at opening, large flare at base of petals, more intensely and persistently colored. The purplish pigments pale as the flower matures, the underlying color remaining to petal fall. Thin row of generally abortive stamens, sheath is cream white, carpels and stigmas pale greenish white. Prolific bloom, many four-inch flowers cover the medium low, rounded bush and smallish, dark green leaflets, few sidebuds. Strong grower, low medium height bush. (Name originally published in error in 1993 with the description of the Lutea Hybrid Group ‘Lois Elaine Laning’ (1995)).
