Group: Herb. Hybrid
Year Registered: 2016
Parentage: Appleton House x Mackinac Grand
Seedling 6F-6. Parentage: ‘Appleton House’ x ‘Mackinac Grand’ SEMI-DOUBLE TO FULL DOUBLE flower form. Early midseason flowering. Intensely medium pink, silver-edged, large flowers (20 cm, 7 inches), 1 per stem. Rounded, slightly ruffled, medium pink guard petals measuring 8 cm (3 inches) in width have greenish white flares with blurred edges. Intense, medium pink, spatulate staminodes with long, narrow, white flares. None, or up to 3 sparsely haired, pale green carpels with dark pink stigmas. Stamens with yellow filaments, red at base, measure between ½ and ¾ inch. Spreading 90 cm (36 inches) stems with pointed, medium to narrow leaflets, need support. Standing midway in many respects between its spectacular parents, this is an intense variety—both in terms of flower color and hybrid vigor. Greatly floriferous and fertile.
